SVOLT Signs 2 GWh+ Energy Storage Orders as 350Ah “Long Blade” Flying-Stacking Thermal-Composite Cells Accelerate Global Expansion

During the Intersolar Europe (Munich) exhibition period (May 7-8), SVOLT signed four strategic cooperation agreements with a combined contracted project volume of more than 2 GWh, covering supply-chain assurance, risk management, and customer development. These agreements further strengthen SVOLT’s localized presence across key markets including Western Europe, India, and Eastern Europe, signaling a new milestone from global expansion to scaled localization.

Technology leadership: enabling cross-border delivery

SVOLT reached an agreement with an Indian partner totaling 769 MWh, spanning a pilot energy storage project in Mumbai and a large-scale energy storage system in Gujarat. The projects will deploy SVOLT’s in-house developed second-generation 350Ah “Long Blade” energy storage cell manufactured with thermal-composite Flying Stacking technology, together with dual-layer liquid-cooling technology—strengthening delivery reliability while establishing a practical risk-management approach that can support broader expansion across regional markets.

During the same period, SVOLT signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Hopewind to jointly develop opportunities across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. For a 160 MWh energy storage project associated with a leading European automaker, SVOLT will lead system design and integration, while Hopewind will supply high-performance power conversion equipment. By combining system integration expertise with core component capability, both parties aim to build localized, full-lifecycle service coverage—from engineering to commission and operation.

Two major wins in Europe as a localized ecosystem takes shape

In customer development, SVOLT secured two additional landmark projects in Europe.

The first one is that SVOLT reached a 450 MWh cooperation agreement for utility-scale energy storage with an exclusive distributor in Eastern Europe. As the sole equipment supplier, SVOLT will provide an end-to-end offering—from cells to complete energy storage systems. It means that SVOLT officially take a step forward in the Eastern European new energy market, next, SVOLT will leverage the distributor’s established local network across five countries in Eastern Europe, to build an energy infrastructure hub.

The second one is that SVOLT partnered with an innovative German developer and industrial capital to launch a 700 MWh pipeline spanning both utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage. All of the three parties will operate under a full-chain collaboration model that links development, capital, and equipment. With industrial capital participating, the partnership aims to create a closed-loop structure that aligns financing with project execution in markets including Germany and Switzerland. The first 42 MW phase is planned to break ground within the year, with a target of surpassing 700 MWh in cumulative development by 2030.

What is the strategic logic behind the 2+ GWh milestone

The four agreements span Asia and Europe and cover both grid and C&I deployment scenarios, highlighting three pillars of SVOLT: technology built on vertically integrated capabilities designed to perform extreme conditions; operations strengthened through regional partners and truly localized delivery systems; and risk management enhanced through international reinsurance mechanisms to reduce uncertainty in emerging markets. Dong Bo, Vice President of SVOLT Energy Storage Sales Center, said: “The latest cooperation validates the effectiveness of the “global technology + local ecosystem” strategy, and SVOLT will continue to deepen collaborative innovation and accelerate broader access to advanced energy storage solutions.”

As of 2025, SVOLT’s energy storage business has expanded to more than 10 countries and regions, with overseas contribution rising significantly. The new agreements signed at Intersolar Europe inject strong momentum as the company advances toward its 2026 overseas growth objectives.
