SVOLT and Nuode Smart Energy Successfully Connect Changzhou and Yancheng C&I Energy Storage Projects to the Grid
Recently, SVOLT and its strategic partner Nuode Smart Energy successfully brought two commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage projects online: an 18.75MW/50.32MWh project in Changzhou and a 17.5MW/46.96MWh project in Yancheng. As the largest and most advanced behind-the-meter energy storage demonstration projects in their regions, the commissioning of the projects is expected to improve the local power supply-demand balance, ease peak–valley load challenges, and enhance overall energy efficiency. The projects will also provide participating enterprises with a more stable and reliable electricity supply, supporting cost reduction, efficiency gains, and the transition toward more sustainable and lower-carbon future.

As the core energy storage equipment supplier for these energy storage projects, SVOLT provided robust technical support leveraging its proprietary thermal-composite Short Blade technology. The projects deploy SVOLT’s in-house developed thermally compounded short blade stacking cells, engineered to deliver excellent mechanical stress performance, helping reduce safety risks during charge and discharge and enabling safer, more reliable system operation. In addition, the cells’ long-and-thin design significantly increases thermal dissipation area, enhancing thermal performance. This not only helps extend cell service life, but also supports stable system operation across more demanding environmental conditions—providing a strong foundation for efficient, long-term project performance.
The successful grid connection marks a milestone in the deepening collaboration between SVOLT and Nuode Smart Energy in the C&I energy storage space. Looking ahead, both parties will continue to leverage technical synergies and scenario-based deployment strengths to establish a replicable benchmark for regional energy structure upgrades and accelerate progress toward the dual-carbon goals.
