SVOLT Breaks into the Global Top 10 for Annual Power Battery Shipments, with Short Blade Battery Emerging as a Growth Engine

Recently, research firm EVTank, China YiWei Institute of Economics, and the China Battery Industry Research Institute jointly released the China NEV Power Battery Industry Development White Paper (2025). In the report’s comparison of global power battery shipments from 2022 to 2024, SVOLT entered the Top 10 for the first time in three years. 

SVOLT’s entry into the global Top 10 signals the company’s accelerating momentum in power battery market in 2024, and demonstrates the market’s growing confidence in SVOLT’s products and capabilities.

In 2024, SVOLT achieved a major breakthrough in the delivery of ’s short blade battery, with annual deliveries surpassing 270,000 units. The monthly shipments exceeded 50,000 units in December, hitting a new monthly record.

In terms of vehicle adoption and commercialization, SVOLT’s short blade battery delivered strong performance in both BEV and EREV segments in 2024, powering a number of popular models from domestic and international automakers as Leapmotor, Geely Galaxy, Stellantis, Peugeot, and Fiat Citroën.

Within key segments, SVOLT continued to build out its presence in the off-road market, and launched the world-first battery designed specifically for off-road vehicles, featuring a world-leading 59 kWh capacity. At present, the off-road battery has already been deployed in the best-selling Tank 500 Hi4-Z, with over 100,000 units as of January 8, 2025.

To better serve evolving needs across multiple segments, SVOLT also unveiled a new product lineup at its 5th Battery Day in January, including Fengxing Short Blade Battery, Fortress Off-Road Battery, Yuanlu commercial vehicle battery, and a series of HEV battery products—each tailored to deliver targeted innovations and upgrades for scenarios spanning BEV, hybrid, and off-road applications.

Looking ahead, SVOLT will continue to increase R&D investment and accelerate innovations and upgrades in short blade Battery technology to meet growing market demands for high-performance power batteries.
