SVOLT Wins “Intelligent Manufacturing Factory of Jiangsu Province in 2024”
Guided by the Three-Year Action Plan (2022–2024) for Intelligent Upgrades and Digital Transformation of Industrial Enterprises in Jiangsu, SVOLT has advanced three core initiatives—Intelligent Upgrading, Digital Transformation, and Intelligent Connectivity. Led by a joint taskforce formed by SVOLT’s Digital Intelligence Center and the High-Tech Division of Technology Center, and supported through close cross-department collaboration, SVOLT developed and submitted the “AI Smart Factory for Automotive-Grade Power Battery” project. Following a full evaluation process from application submission, local review, compliance review, expert assessment, panel review, to public disclosure, the project was selected as a “Intelligent Manufacturing Factory of Jiangsu Province in 2024.” The recognition underscores SVOLT’s leadership in intelligent manufacturing for power batteries.
The “Intelligent Manufacturing Factory of Jiangsu Province in 2024” project is built on more than two years of R&D and hands-on deployment across automotive-grade smart factories, AI-enabled intelligent factories, and lighthouse-factory practices, the project targets persistent, industry-wide manufacturing bottlenecks in the NEV power battery segment. SVOLT developed a systematic solution approach, established an advanced technical framework, and rolled out multiple AI-driven innovative use cases. Following rounds of expert assessments, the project was selected with a strong overall score—ranking sixth among the sixteen companies from Changzhou.
AI Smart Factory for Automotive-Grade Power Battery Project Briefing
SVOLT’s AI Smart Factory for Automotive-Grade Power Battery project sets a clear blueprint for intelligent manufacturing by defining a structured factory architecture—complete with performance KPI, four major platforms, and six core directions. It also strengthens collaboration between engineering and manufacturing through 2D/3D automated design tools and R&D knowledge management, streamlining the design-to-production process and boosting R&D efficiency.
SVOLT has rolled out a series of innovative applications spanning electrode plate folding, tab tearing monitoring, sealing nail welding, environment simulation, and 5G+ EHS monitoring—addressing pain points such as heavy manual operations and batch-level quality variability. In parallel, SVOLT advanced extreme manufacturing capabilities through innovations including ultra-high-speed assembly and dry electrode technologies, further upgrading its next-generation equipment and manufacturing processes.
SVOLT has replicated this AI intelligent factory model across multiple manufacturing bases nationwide, supporting intelligent transformation across the NEV industry. The project also strengthens SVOLT’s foundation for future recognition, including potential applications for national intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory initiatives.
