SVOLT Chengdu Base Begins Comprehensive Operation With the Mass Production of The Three Short Blade Thermal Composite Flying Stack Cells

SVOLT has achieved a major milestone with the successful rollout of its first PACK unit at the Chengdu Module PACK factory, signaling the start of full-scale operations. In addition, the first batch of 162Ah cells has been successfully completed its rollout at the Chengdu base. In just two months, SVOLT’s Chengdu base has accomplished the mass production of three different cell types: 325Ah, 350Ah energy storage cells, and the 162Ah second-generation short blade cells, marking a new phase of operations and reinforcing the company's ability to ensure timely deliveries and consistent production. This rapid success once again underscores SVOLT’s speed and operational efficiency.

In terms of product delivery, The Chengdu base is set to deliver two types of energy storage cells and one type of power battery cells to customers. For energy storage delivery, the Chengdu base has rolled out PACK units incorporating SVOLT’s proprietary L500 350Ah/325Ah flying stack thermal composite short blade energy storage cells. These specialized energy storage cells feature SVOLT’s unique flying stack thermal composite technology, delivering 12,000+ cycles. The 350Ah Short Blade flying stack energy storage cell, in particular, stands out for its higher energy density, lower cost, balanced current distribution, superior thermal dissipation, and uniform temperature distribution, making it the ideal solution for large-scale industrial and commercial energy storage systems.

In terms of power battery cell delivery, the Chengdu base has delivered the L600 162Ah second-generation Short Blade cell, which leverages the “Short Blade + Flying Stack” perfection to achieve a perfect balance of high energy density and fast charging (2.2C) capabilities. This makes the battery particularly well-suited for CTB (cell-to-body) system designs, optimizing vertical space. The Chengdu base primarily serves energy storage clients, including major data centers and leading photovoltaic companies, as well as automakers like Geely, supplying cells for their vehicle models. These products meet the diverse needs of both energy storage customers and automakers.

As a key strategic hub in Southwest China, SVOLT Chengdu base has rapidly overcome challenges, moving from production line initiation to electrode PV material input, assembly adjustments, and mass production in just two months. During this period, SVOLT completed 34 qualification tests and navigated personnel and production line upgrades. This impressive achievement reflects both the technical breakthroughs achieved in product and equipment production and SVOLT Chengdu base's robust capacity to meet delivery commitments. It also highlights the extraordinary production efficiency and quick market responsiveness of SVOLT’s flying stack short blade battery production line. By September this year, SVOLT has successfully delivered 198,435 sets of short blade batteries, including 139,400 sets from January to September, totaling 7.15 GWh. Notably, between August and September alone, 50,000 sets were shipped in just two months.
