
The Highest Capacity in the Industry! SVOLT 770Ah Fly Stacking Short Blade Energy Storage Cells Debut in Europe
From June 19 to 21, the smarter E Europe opened in Munich, Germany. At the exhibition, SVOLT brought high-safety short-blade energy storage cells, along with a full lineup of solutions spanning C&I, utility-scale liquid-cooled systems, and residential energy storage. As new safety risks emerge amid aggressive low-cost competition, SVOLT’s latest dynamic energy storage thermal-electric separation technology has also made a stunning debut, protecting the new safety of energy storage from the triple protection of battery cell, PACK, and system according to the vehicle grade standard.

Automotive-grade, multi-technology energy storage cells: protecting the new safety from the “cell” up
At this year’s exhibition, SVOLT presented nine cell products, including its signature Short Blade energy storage cell series, VDA energy storage cells, and pouch energy storage cells.
For dedicated Short Blade energy storage cells, in addition to the mass-produced 325Ah cell, SVOLT introduced the newly upgraded 350Ah cell and the higher energy density, higher-capacity 770Ah Short Blade energy storage cell. While further improving thermal dissipation efficiency, both BOM and manufacturing costs are significantly reduced. Both cells deliver a cycle life of more than 11,000 cycles. For delivery better products to customers, SVOLT further strengthened system integration in a 20-foot container, reduced parts count, and achieved the industry’s highest capacity within the same footprint. The 350Ah and 770Ah cells leverage SVOLT’s leading Fly Stacking process, further enhancing safety, stability, and cost advantages, delivering exceptional cost performance.

SVOLT showcased the100Ah and 222Ah the VDA energy storage cell product at the exhibition. The 222Ah cell, positioned for 0.5P and 1P applications, has already been delivered at scale. SVOLT also brought 50Ah and 65Ah pouch energy storage cells designed to support premium residential energy storage to overseas markets. SVOLT also showcased a cylindrical cell with a capacity of 4.2Ah.

Across cell manufacturing, SVOLT adopts automotive-grade standards across multiple technology roadmap, delivering energy storage products that are safer, longer cycle life, more stable, and more cost-competitive, reinforcing energy storage safety at the cell level.
Flagship systems across three major scenarios: comprehensive safety protection for every use case
Utility-scale, C&I, and residential storage have become the three primary application scenarios in the new energy storage industry. At the exhibition, SVOLT showcased its flagship offerings across all three application scenarios. For utility-scale applications, SVOLT presented its Short Blade liquid-cooled energy storage system, engineered for high safety and low cost. The system is available in three configurations—3.46MWh, 5.16MWh, and 6.9MWh—of which the 6.9MWh version is currently the highest-capacity Short Blade liquid-cooled energy storage system in China. It adopts SVOLT’s in-house third-generation high-speed stacking 3.0 technology - Fly Stacking process, offering strong advantages in safety and consistency. The material and structural innovations help effectively suppress thermal propagation and tightly constrain expansion, enabling better pack efficiency and more flexible fire-suppression switching options. Meanwhile, it offers better system integration, further upgrades across structure, electrical architecture, communications, fire protection, thermal management, compatibility, and delivers greater functional capability at a better cost.

SVOLT showcased a 318kWh C&I liquid-cooled C&I energy storage battery container, along with unit-based and mid-sized energy storage solutions. SVOLT presented its ultra-slim residential storage lineup as the company showcased at the smarter E Europe 2024, including an ultra-slim residential inverter and system, portable energy storage, and co-branded residential solutions with ANS, continuing to deepen its presence in the European residential energy storage market.
New Thermal-Electric Separation Technology: raising system safety to the highest level
As energy storage cells continue trending larger capacity globally, international markets also place increasing emphasis on residential energy storage—high safety performance will only become more critical. In response, SVOLT has brought its proprietary “Dragon Armor” thermal-electric separation technology from power batteries into the energy storage safety segment, developing an energy-storage-specific Thermal-Electric Separation technology to establish a new safety benchmark.

At the exhibition, SVOLT demonstrated how its thermal-electric separation technology works. The technology targets two “ultimate” outcomes: ultimate safety and ultimate cycle performance. First, it truly separated “thermal” from “electricity,” addressing risks such as high-voltage short-circuit arcing and ignition. Its cell adopted an innovative structure, a top-mounted explosion-proof valve is used to enable directional venting. It also adopted a specific PACK design, the thermal runaway pressure-relief zone and the electrical connection zone are separated into independent areas, reducing runaway risk and enabling a safer outcome—no fire and no propagation. These approaches provided dual-layer safety control across both the cell and PACK, strengthening overall system safety. Its dual-sided liquid cooling (top and bottom) reduces temperature gradients and peak temperatures within cells, bringing ultimate cycle performance, extending cycle life.

SVOLT also shared the latest updates on its overseas energy storage business, including localized supply cooperation with Ottomotive for the Turkey market, EMS system co-developed with IBEN tailored to the European market, and partnerships to provide localized after-sales service support. Looking ahead, SVOLT looks forward to working closely with partners to create maximum value for local customers and deliver the most competitive products.
