The ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week (ASEW 2025), Southeast Asia's largest renewable energy exhibition co-hosted by UBM Asia, Informa Markets Thailand, and the Thai government, took place from July 2-4 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. ASEW is core platform to gather word-leading companies and radiating to the Southeast Asian market. SVOLT showcased its next-generation energy storage solutions featuring pioneering Short Blade Cell technology, including the 268kWh-CTR commercial & industrial ESS and 5MWh liquid-cooled utility-scale ESS, aligning with regional demands through technological innovation and localization.

SVOLT’s industry-leading thermal-composite fly-stacking technology enhances cell performance, as cell consistency growth by 35%, separator wrinkling risk reduction by 60%, while strengthening cycle life and safety performance in tandem. It lays a solid quality foundation for energy storage systems, and the Short Blade Cell series built on the platform shines at the ASEW 2025.

Break Through in Southeast Asian Market for Accurate Regional Adaptation
Engineered for ASEAN’s high-temperature/humidity environments, SVOLT’s products demonstrate exceptional environmental resilience and strong cost efficiency. Its 5MWh ESS cuts thermal differentials by 50% via dual-sided cooling. Looking ahead, SVOLT plans to further enhance protection by integrating new technologies such as nitrogen inerting (oxygen isolation) and thermal–electrical isolation, building a multi-layer defense architecture to ensure stable operation in high-heat environments. At the same time, the Short Blade system’s modular, split-transport design delivers clear cost advantages—effectively addressing the chronic challenges of overweight and height restrictions in conventional equipment transportation. This design is expected to improve full-lifecycle ROI by 10% and boost O&M efficiency by 60%, providing Southeast Asian customers with a highly competitive solution.

Deepening Localization for All-Round Response
SVOLT’s Thailand roadmap follows a "battery packs → ESS assembly → cell manufacturing" phased approach, supporting Thailand’s EV3.5 policy.
On June 30, the 10,000th EV battery pack rolled off the production line of SVOLT Chonburi JV plant, which integrated 8 major digital systems, bringing 99.9% yield rate and end-to-end quality traceability. These EV battery packs have already powered GWM models including ORA, HAVAL, TANK, and pickup trucks—demonstrating the maturity and reliability of SVOLT’s localized manufacturing system.
Notablely, SVOLT and Thailand’s energy leader Banpu NEXT continue to advance their strategic partnership, jointly establishing ESS pack assembly lines. Meanwhile, both parties have explored cell production feasibility under 3C/3T strategy, laying the groundwork for localized battery production in Thailand over the next two years. They are also broadening the scope of collaboration—exploring deeper resource sharing, accelerating energy storage project development, and expanding from Thailand into wider ASEAN markets as well as Japan, Australia, and North America.

Backed by its localized manufacturing footprint and a strong, multi-dimensional partner ecosystem, SVOLT is accelerating the buildout of its energy storage system (ESS) assembly lines. In parallel, SVOLT is working with higher-education institutions such as Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) to establish university–industry talent development programs, while partnering with collaborators including Banpu NEXT to advance PV–storage–charging all-in-one integration pilot projects. Together, these efforts enable SVOLT to deliver full-lifecycle support for Southeast Asian customers—from manufacturing and delivery to operations and maintenance, efficiently and precisely meeting their core demand for localized service.
